Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Promote COVID-19 Relief Fund Shirts

Blake Livey and Ryan Reynolds have always been philanthropic, and they're stepping up to do their part in combatting the COVID-19 pandemic. Reynolds took to Instagram to encourage fans to purchase an "obscenely boring" t-shirt in which all profits go to the Canadian nonprofit Conquer COVID-19.

“We’re asking every Canadian to purchase this t-shirt, and as you can see, it is boring as f—k,” he joked. "100% of the proceeds of this horrific shirt are gonna go to buying PPE for frontline personnel in our most vulnerable communities,” Reynolds explained as he wore the shirt. “Now, I know that’s not an exciting prospect or point, but the faster we get those guys protected, the faster they get us back to boring.”

The Deadpool star also joked that the shirt is "so unremarkable that it renders the wearer invisible." The shirts are allegedly so unremarkable that his mother-in-law, who he shared has been self-isolating with Reynolds and his family, "has been looking for me for days."

His wife, Gossip Girl star Blake Lively, joined in and reposted his photo on her Instagram story, saying “I literally fell asleep looking at this shirt. But it’s for a good cause.”

In mid-March, Reynolds and Lively announced that they would be donating $1 million to two food bank organizations across the U.S. and Canada to help with the COVID-19 crisis. Their support of FEEDING AMERICA and FOOD BANKS CANADA was nationally appreciated.
