Brewery in Newport News Finds Unique Way to Help Homeless Dogs

Tradition Brewing, out of Newport News, VA, is teaming up with Animal Aid Society to find homeless dogs forever homes in a creative way.

To help get homeless dogs matched with their forever families, Tradition is brewing a special beer to be released over July 4th weekend.

The beer is called "Chasin' Tail Pale Ale" and the 16 oz cans will feature four currently adoptable pups from AAS. Each can will display the dog's headshot along with a small bio about the pup in an effort to gain exposure and get these dogs their forever homes.

A portion of the proceeds raised from the special release will go to the Animal Aid Society, as well.

If you're in the Newport News area, the beer will be available starting July 3rd.

Brian Martin, the Tradition Brewing Head Brewer, said, "When we saw the support from the Coastal Virginia Community at the Animal Aid Society BrewDog Celebration this past January, we knew we had a unique opportunity to collaborate by combining our two great passions: dogs and beer. Since the beginning Tradition Brewing has always been passionate for our furry friends, so supporting a no-kill shelter that has been in our community for almost 50 years was a no brainer for us. We are excited about what the future holds and look forward to continuing to grow what is becoming a beautiful partnership."
