Photos That Perfectly Sum Up Canada

Canadians have earned themselves some of the funniest stereotypes that usually turn out to be somewhat true. They love their maple syrup, beer, hockey, and wildlife. But, how true are the other stereotypes? These photos help set the record straight...

Classic Canadian Bar

All of this plaid and it wasn't even a theme night. This is just your ordinary bar in suburban Canada. If you don't own red plaid, then you're probably not Canadian.

Canadian Protest

How else could you make a picket sign? Canadians are resourceful while also eagerly following their classic stereotype. Instead of using a piece of wood, they used what they already had: hockey sticks!

Sneaky Beavers

Even Canadians can poke fun at themselves. This Christmas tree display plays into the joke that Canada is just overrun by moose and beavers. These beavers have no mercy!

So, Which Season is This?

When living in Canada, it's pretty much impossible to tell what season it is or what the weather will be like. After all, those blooming flowers say spring but the two inches of snow scream winter.

Sorry, Eh

This poor person realized that their wheelbarrow was stolen and did the only thing they knew how to do... Ask kindly for its return. Somehow, the wheelbarrow found its way back home so the owner put out a simple "thank you" note. Canada is weird.

Just Some Spare Fare

People were leaving their extra tickets and tokens for those who couldn't afford to ride public transport... And the people who needed them only took what they needed. Nobody stole the entire pile at once! Canada really doesn't seem like a real place...

Do You Have a Permit?

This cop pulled over to buy some lemonade from this little girl... Luckily, he didn't cite her despite a lack of permit. Everyone needs a nice cup of lemonade.

Be a Considerate Thief

This person is totally fine with their rhubarb being stolen, but they want you to at least do it correctly. If you're going to steal, be a little nice about it! It's the Canadian way.

The Star of the Show

Police officers were called for crowd control during a street fair but had to stop for a quick picture. That little wiener dog looked way too handsome to not take a photo! We don't blame them.

Lost Mitten

Some kind person saw an old, dirty mitten and decided to revive it in hopes of finding the owner. There really are good people still out there!

Anyone Home?

This Canadian resident took a photo of what they saw the first thing they walked downstairs in the morning... Thankfully, this moose didn't realize he could easily just knock down the entire wall and stayed at the door, politely waiting. Hey, even the moose are polite!

Morning Meditation

This police squad in Canada has a morning meditation before their day shifts. It's much better to start the day with a clear head, and this department respects that!

This Is Unexplained

Someone found this sign in Montreal and posted it online to hopefully get some insight. Sadly, no one else understood what it meant. Hopefully, if a T-Rex sees this, he will only wield flowers...

That's Reasonable

Being a postal worker must be dangerous in Canada... Running into a bear at someone's doorstep is not an ideal work environment.

No Worries

How many times have you gotten a parking ticket without realizing you were in an illegal spot? This is a pretty good system for first-time offenders... Why can't everywhere adopt this policy?

Shopping For Everyone

This grocery store made an effort to help their sensory sensitive customers shop. When someone has sensory issues, bright lights and loud noises can make for a horrifying experience. It's nice to know that this grocery store cares!

Vigilantes? Never Heard of Them

In order to celebrate Canada Day, some folks went above and beyond with decorating a statue in Stanely Park, Vancouver. Only in Canada would someone decorate a statue and leave a nice note about cleaning it up! Most Americans would just assume someone else would clean up for them.

Sincere Apologies

Not only did this person admit what they did was wrong and leave a note of apology, they also drew a fantastic little spider! Even the spider looks apologetic.

They Believe In Themselves

There's to reason to make Canada great "again" because it's already so great, and its citizens agree! Although they don't have a leg in American politics, they still share their opinions through this parody hat.

How The Police Protest

Where did they even get these pants? These cops are protesting a labor dispute by not showing up in their professional slacks. Instead, they opted for those insane pants. That's one way to protest!

RIP Raccoon

This story actually made international headlines. A small raccoon was tragically struck and killed and left on the side of the road. The folks in Canada felt so bad for it that they made a little memorial honoring its life. The memorial stayed there untouched until someone cleaned up the raccoons remains.

The Opposite of America

People who work in the medical field are some of the most important people in the world. It makes sense for them to be paid a good amount of money, but where's the limit? These Canadian doctors felt like they were getting paid a disproportionate amount, so they wanted their salary lowered.  You'd never see that in America.

Not So Serious

This cop decided to take a little action against the super-soakers in the parade crowd. Sadly, he's wildly outmatched... That little water bottle won't do anything against the water guns!

Bathroom Graffiti

Have you ever seen more wholesome bathroom graffiti? Usually, you see curse words or vulgar phrases. In Canada, you get some positive affirmations while taking a public dump!

Breaking the Stereotype

They may be called Canadian Geese, but they don't embody the Canadian charm. In fact, they have so many teeth that one bite from a goose will feel like one thousand. Maybe just keep your distance...

Yes, Officer?

This kid wanted to take his new wheels out for a spin but made one drastic mistake... His passenger wasn't secured! Luckily, this Canadian cop was nice enough to just give the driver a warning since this was his first-ever offense.

The Pool is Occupied

This is a photo that a Canadian got from their neighbor one hot day. "Hey, there's a moose in our pool can we use yours?"

A Hungry Burglar

A family came home from a night out to find their cabinets open and some food spread out. Then, they saw this note on their table... Apparently, someone broke in for some good but accidentally broke a glass. They left a note to warn the family of the possible glass on the floor. Even the buglar's have some sort of manners!

Police Support

Some police officers decided to cheer on some of their civilans during a 5k to raise money for charity. They even came with some funny signs poking fun at themselves.

A Weird Type of Bullying

Only in Canada can someone make bullying positive! Calling someone ugly is obviously not okay. Yet, in terms of littering, it seems like it makes the most sense. Don't want to be ugly? Then don't litter!

Canadian Accident

It's unclear what happened here, but it looks like the bus is taking responsibility. Did the bus driver change the sign after they hit the car? Or is that a pre-programmed sign? Since it's Canada, it probably was pre-programmed...

Did They Just Steal?

These moose look like they're up to no good... It really looks like they stole from the Tim Hortons. Plus, the snow on the ground makes this extra Canadian.

The Two Seasons

This Canadian couple decided to poke fun at themselves. After all, those Canadian spring's are no joke! There are only two types of weather: insanely cold and pleasantly warm.

Canada Has It Right

The right to bear arms is a controversial topic in the United States. Canada, on the other hand, has their own debate about arms... They'd rather arm their bears than arm their citizens!

Takin' A Break

When these two cops saw a neighborhood street hockey game, they knew that they had to join. After all, they are Canadian. You can't just walk by a street hockey game and not play a round or two.

Very Convenient

Canadians are a very simple, straight-forward people. This St, That St, and The Other St aren't fancy street names, but they surely get the job done.

Our Apologies

This was a pretty harsh sign... The maker probably thought it was a little too harsh so they added an apology at the end. They're so thoughtful!

When Hockey Is In The Air

Someone got a ticket on their windshield, but a random stranger thought that it wasn't fair... After all, they just won hockey gold! They took it upon themselves to pay for the ticket themselves and leave the money on the windshield... Somehow, the money stayed there and wasn't stolen. Canada is otherworldly!

Let's Go

Canada: where the people are friendly and the aniamsl are not. How did this beaver get a sword, anyway? Who gave it to him?

Getting Work Done

How many cops would actually go along with this? Also, whose idea was this? Something tells me it was the cops...

Just a Normal Day

What? Can't a guy take his pet goats on a walk during a blizzard wearing nothiing but a work jumper? This is every day Canada, folks!

Goose Crossing!

Although Canadian Geese can be a bit mean, they do not how to abide by the law. You won't catch a goose crossing the street against the light!

Canadian Summer

This isn't like he got caught in the snow storm... This kid looked out the window, saw that it was snowing, and put on a t-shirt and shorts. Then, he casually walked to class while messing with his phone. A true Canadian icon.

Polite Graffiti

Why isn't all graffiti like this? If it was, people probably wouldn't hate it so much! We need some more positivity over here.

Go On! Get Out!

This poor moose just wanted to take a quick dip... They didn't have to get the police involved! The best part is that they look like they're yelling at him to get out... Meanwhile, the moose is just chiilling.

Going the Extra Mile

First of all, the fact that this person found this in a snowbank is too classic. Secondly, it's incredible that they went through so much trouble just to get it back it its rightful owner! More people should be like this.

Halloween Gag Gets Dark

Apparently, the folks at the post office thought that this bloody hand was their fault and sent that letter. In reality, the mailer did this on purpose to send out Halloween invites!

Canadian Traffic Jam

This person was running late thanks to a million ducks crossing the road. Look, they were just trying to get from one place to another like everyone else!

The Nicest Complaint

Most people would just go upstairs and bang on the door until someone answers... Not this person! In fact, she even offered to bake them something just for them to be quieter. I wonder how well that worked...

Road Block

You can't pass this beaver without paying the toll... One wooden stick will do!

A Notice For... Nothing?

Car theft is no joke. If a thief sees anythiing that could be of value in your car, they'll break the window and snag it. This person didn't leave anything in sight, which this officer was apparently thankful for.

Back Off, It's Mine

Canadian Geese can be aggressive, but that didn't stop this worker from repromanding this little guy when he tried to steal some food! He looks like he gave that goose a good talking to...

Canada Isn't Worried

In true Canada fashion, they're making sure that everyone feels like they belong in the world. After all, not doing so would be against everything that Canada stand for. It's not polite to ask someone about the bathroom that they're in!

You Live and You Learn

It's probably somewhat common for folks in Canada to have a pet bear. The Airlane Hotel probably didn't think anything of it until the bear tore apart the hotel room... Learning from your mistakes is a part of living!

Coyote In a Crosswalk

Look at this little guy! He's crossing with the green and is staying in the crosswalk. Who knew that Canadian coyote's had such street smarts?

There's Always Time To Grill

Too cold outside? No worries, Canadians have it covered. Just grill outside your window!

Here, Take It!

Someone got their GPS stolen which rendered everything they had for it useless. Instead of trying to get it back, they just gave everything else up.

Illegal Parking

This neighbor didn't like the fact that someone was parked up like that on their lawn... Instead of getting it towed, they left a polite note.

What's Going On Up There?

We know that Canada can be a really remote place, but apparently it houses two of the biggest organizations out there! Right next to the Illuminati HQ is Santa's workshop... Are they working in tandem?

People Only Bathrooms

The only correct way to use this bathroom is to be a human, not peek into other peoples' stalls, and to not be a moose. It's that simple!
