Despite the changes in the Pacific Ocean over time, the sea level at Triquet Island remained the exact same for over 15 centuries. The tides of the ocean and years of storms gradually eroded the islands surrounding the mainland, thus keeping away the giant prehistoric creatures that might prey on them.
