Deadly Hollywood Movie Set Disasters

Many movie set accidents can be avoided. There have been a lot of tragedies in Hollywood due to dangerous stunts or unsafe sets. Unfortunately, things like this have caused many deaths.

During the filming of Deadpool 2, a stuntwoman was killed after the motorcycle she was using crashed. This caused a lot of controversy for those involved, mainly because the filmmakers were warned that she wasn’t ready for the scene.

Similar to the situation in Deadpool 2, The Dark Knight also faced a horrific death on set. A special effects tech was caught in a car crash while filming the scene and died there.

Troy

was another film that went horribly wrong behind the scenes. Not only did they face horrible production errors, two hurricanes that halted filming, and an injured Brad Pitt, they also faced a stunt that ended in a death.

The Resident Evil: The Final Chapter crew had to deal with some pretty horrific tragedies as well. Milla Jovovich’s stunt double Olivia Jackson got her arm stuck and eventually amputated after a motorcycle accident. Later, another crew member was killed when an unsecured car slid off of a platform and crushed him.

Lastly, one of the most tragic movie disasters comes with Catch-22. John Jordan, an aerial photographer, died during filming as he was sucked out of an airplane mid-air. Movie magic is not easy, and entertainment sometimes comes with a devastating price.
