It’s pretty commonplace now for couples to include their four-legged children in their wedding ceremonies and/or photos. Dogs, after all, are man’s best friend, so why wouldn’t they get to be there for their parents’ big day?
An Illinois couple who recently wed were sure to include their labrador retriever in their nuptials, and boy was he the life of the party!
The couple’s 6-year-old, Yellow Lab, Boone, stood right by their sides as they said their “I dos” in Big Sky, Montana. But when it came time for the wedding photos, Boone turned into quite the ham.
According to the couple, Angie Blumberg and Jayce Conway, Boone decided a great time to roll around and get that itch on his back was during the opening prayer, as seen in the photo above.
“He’s a really well-trained dog,” Conway said. “I planned for him to stand between me and my brother. Boone was technically the best man, but he couldn’t really give a speech so I thought I should give my brother a shot,” he joked.
“While everyone in the procession walked down the aisle, he stayed in his spot, exactly where he was supposed to be,” said Conway, “until he saw Angie, and then he just couldn’t resist going over to say ‘Hi!'”
“And then, during the ceremony, he decided to walk to the middle and roll happily in the grass a few times,” added Blumberg.
Their friend, Chris, who photographed the wedding, caught the candid moment and since it was posted on Facebook, it’s been shared more than 50,000 times. Here’s to a lifetime full of candid photobomb moments down the road!
