Maryland Mom Has Been Leaving out Free Lunches for Anyone in Need of a Meal

Amidst coronavirus shutdowns, an anonymous Maryland mother has been leaving out hundreds of lunches for anyone in her community that is in need of a meal.

The nameless good samaritan has been leaving healthy bagged meals on a tent-sheltered table at in intersection in Severna Park. A sign hanging on the table says, "For anyone who needs it … I will be leaving some healthy sack lunches on this table for you if you are hungry and need to eat. Made with love by a neighborhood mom in a clean and sanitized kitchen."

The table is stocked between 11 AM and 1:30 PM every day and for those in the neighborhood that are struggling to make ends meet, this has been a saving grace.

For one local mother-of-two, Kimberly Gussow, the lunches have been an appreciated gesture to get her and her family through tough times.

"This makes me embrace my community even more. I’m proud to live here," Gussow told ABC News. "It’s great to show our kids that there is good in our world. It’s not just about ourselves, it needs to be about others too."
