Netflix Originals Ranked from Least to Most Bingeworthy

Streaming is the way of the world these days. The most popular shows and movies are now just a click away on streaming platforms like Netflix and Hulu. There’s really something for everyone on the platform, but we’re here to fill you in on what’s hot and what’s… not.

We’ve all had a moment where we opened Netflix and took so long trying to decide what to watch that we eventually give up and do something else, so we’ve put in the legwork for you. Here’s what you should (and shouldn’t) binge next…

60 – Haters Back Off!

2 seasons – The oddball family life of YouTube star Miranda Sings, an untalented star who believes she was born to be famous, just misses the mark. The main character isn’t very likable and the humor just isn’t for everyone.

59 – Chasing Cameron

1 Season – This reality series stars social-media influencer Cameron Dallas. Best known for his vine videos, the issue with this show is simply that it’s about someone with little name recognition.

58 – Real Rob

2 Seasons – This reality show centers on actor-comedian Rob Schneider’s life while living in Hollywood. Critics felt it was a total flop and just an unnecessary show concept that people don’t really care about.

57 – Iron Fist

A Marvel creation, a young man is given amazing martial arts skills and a mystical force called the Iron Fist. Marvel fans were unimpressed, though, and critics called it bland.

56 – Fuller House

5 Seasons – A continuation to the beloved show Full House, D.J. Fuller is now a mother of three boys and is a recent widow. Her middle sister, Stephanie, and best friend, Kimmy, move in to help raise her sons, and once again, her father’s house is full again. Unfortunately, critics weren’t too friendly about it and thought it felt “forced.”

55 – Disjointed

1 Season – A marijuana legend, Ruth Whitefeather Feldman, played by Kathy Bates, employs her son and a team of “budtenders” to work at a Los Angeles dispensary. Critics were excited about this promising show, but the jokes are bad and it’s not worth the watch.

54 – Marseille

2 Seasons – This political drama was the first French original production for Netflix but it was torn apart by the French press and American critics alike and was dubbed, straight up, just “not very good.”

53 – Between

2 Seasons – When a disease kills everyone over 22-years-old, survivors in this town must navigate life on their own after being quarantined by the government. This teen survivalist drama was full of clichés and has poor acting.

52 – Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life

1 Season – Nearly a decade after the finale of the original series, this revival follows Rory, Lorelai, and Emily through a year of their lives. This highly anticipated follow-up was called “a disappointing return to Stars Hollow.”

51 – Girlboss

1 Season – Loosely based on the true story of Girlboss founder, Sophia Amoruso, the main character, Sophia, a misfit, finds her passion for fashion and navigates growing her business and being her own boss. Unfortunately, this show only lasted one season on Netflix after receiving less than stellar reviews.

50 – Flaked

49 – Insatiable

2 Seasons – When a lawyer turned pageant coach takes on a bullied plus-sized teen as a client. After needing jaw surgery, she loses 70 pounds and is now deemed “hot” at school. 48 – Friends from College

2 Seasons – Two decades after college graduation a group of friends reconnects and discovers that things have only become more complicated between them. While the cast is star-studded, the show overall was called a mess that left viewers looking for something more.

47 – 13 Reasons Why

3 Seasons – A horror series based in Pennsylvania, the show received mixed reviews. It was a high-concept yet low-budget horror soap.

45 – The Ranch

4 Seasons – A Colorado Ranchers’ son returns from a semi-pro football career to run the family business. Although The Ranch brings Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson back together, it feels like a standard cookie-cutter sitcom with lackluster punch lines.

43 – Marco Polo

42 – Frontier

3 Seasons – Starring Jason Momoa as Declan Harp, an outlaw campaigning to breach the Hudson’s Bay Company’s monopoly of the fur trade, this series lacked strong storytelling and felt like it relied heavily on Momoa’s star-power to solely fuel its plot.

41 – Sick Note

2 Seasons – When Daniel Glass is misdiagnosed with a fatal disease, he decides to keep up the act because people treat him much better. The lies pile up which eventually lead to criminal activity. Starring Lindsay Lohan and Rupert Grint, the plot itself is so problematic that for even those with the loosest of moral, it’s hard to watch.

40 – Santa Clarita Diet

3 Seasons – Two married real estate agents in Santa Clarita, California face a dark turn when Sheila, played by Drew Barrymore dies and turns into a zombie. Unfortunately, even with a great cast, the writing just doesn’t measure up and the humor is underwhelming.

The rest of the list dives into the best of Netflix’s originals…
