A family in North Carolina were excited when their white German Shepherd went into labor. After a few hours and a few puppies, they got an unexpected surprise.
A lime-green puppy was birthed along with seven other normally colored pups. Dog-mom Shana Stamey was not expecting this turn of events. “I started freaking out because it was green,” she recalled. “I knew it wasn’t harmful. But I still had to look it up again to make sure.”
The pup was totally healthy despite the weird coloring. Turns out, this is an extremely rare occurrence that most dog breeders ever experience.
According to her vet, the puppy's fur was probably stained due to some stool that was produced in the womb. Other than a weird color fur, this pup is perfectly healthy. His family aptly named him Hulk, not just for the green fur but for his angry demeanor. Apparently, he likes to complain.
The family is planning on raising the pups until they don't need their mom anymore, and they will be sent off to their forever homes!
