Pierce Brosnan Sports Goatee at Golden Globes—Looks Just Like Colonel Sanders

When Pierce Brosnan hit the Golden Globes red carpet debuting his meticulously-groomed goatee, Twitter did it what it always does when presented with a minor shift in the status quo: it went into a complete and total frenzy.

The Internet determined that the 66-year-old actor should be cast in a number of unexpected roles, such a biopic about the founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken founder Colonel Sanders, the next villain in Paddington, and perhaps the most major tonal deviation of all—a James Bond villain after four rounds in the Bond universe as 007 himself.

Brosnan and his wife, Keely Shaye Brosnan, attended the Golden Globes to support their sons, Dylan, 22, and Paris, 18, who are serving as the 2020 Golden Globe Ambassadors. According to the boys, the opportunity is "a dream come true."

The pair are benefiting a non-profit by Lauren Bush called FEED, which works to help fight child hunger.

"It’s just an amazing opportunity to be able to represent not only the Hollywood Foreign Press [Association] and excellence in film but to be able to support FEED and their amazing efforts to combat childhood hunger and incentivize parents to keep their kids in school,” Paris told People magazine.
