Princess Beatrice and Edo Mapelli Mozzi Quietly Wed at Windsor Chapel

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapello Mozzi quietly married in Windsor on Friday morning.

The small number of guests included Queen Elizabeth, 94, and Prince Philip, 99. Beatrice's father, 60-year-old Prince Andrew was also in attendance along with about 20 close friends and family. The ceremony took place a short drive from the castle at All Saint's Chapel in Windsor Great Park.

"The private wedding ceremony of Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi took place at 11 a.m. on Friday 17th July at The Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge, Windsor," read a statement from Buckingham Palace.

The Queen had to leave the nuptials prematurely to attend Capt. Tom Moore's knighthood ceremony back at the castle. Like many engaged couples, Princess Beatrice and the Italian property developer had planned to wed on May 29, but the wedding was canceled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The couple wanted a "low-key" affair, according to a source—and that's exactly what they received. Beatrice has now become the stepmother to Edo's young son, born in 2016 to former girlfriend Dara Huang.
