Selena Gomez Celebrates 28th Birthday By Helping Others

Actress and singer Selena Gomez is turning 28 this year, and she's decided to dedicate her special day to give back. She announced that her beauty brand, Rare Beauty, would be helping out underserved communities with mental health services. The service will be conducted through the Rare Impact Fund and plans to raise over $100 million over the next decade.

The way they plan on raising this money is by donating one percent of all sales over the next 10 years to the fundraiser. Over time, the funds will start to add up and the mental health services will benefit from the kindness. Funds will also be raised from partners and donors. The company plans to become one of the largest corporate entities for the betterment of mental health.

"Since the brand's inception, we wanted to find a way to give back to our community and further support people who needed access to mental health services, which have had a profound impact on my life," said Selena Gomez in a press release, "Rare Beauty is focused on helping people feel more connected to one another and less alone in the world."

The CEO of Rare Beauty said, "With the launch of the Rare Impact Fund, we will create one of the largest philanthropic efforts focused on mental health in the world." Hopefully, many communities across the country will be able to benefit from the fund, and an increased focus on mental health.
