Researchers at the University of Richmond have successfully trained rats to drive a tiny car. They used Froot Loops for motivation, and it worked.
The reason they conducted this experiment in the first place is to test just how flexible rats’ brains are. The results? They are extremely flexible. The little rats love to drive!

Another test was used on rats driving the mini-cars versus rats who were driven around in remote mini cars.
According to New Scientist, “The team found that rates that drove themselves had lower dehydroepiandrosterone levels and were less stressed than rats that were driven around as passengers in remote-controlled cars.”
These rats were taught to drive a car.
