Brook Shields
Brooke Shields was only 12-years-old when she played the lead role in Pretty Baby. She was already so tall as a pre-teen that it made it easier to cast her for older roles. She was quickly welcomed into the modeling world after her growth spurt.
The Public Eye
Shields has been in the public eye for a large majority of her life. When she was younger, people always asked her about her height. "As I got older and taller, the stockings got bigger, but this year, I don't know... I'm 5-feet-11!" That was in 1983 when she was just 18-years-old. She now clocks in at 6 feet tall!
