If you couldn’t guess, Pawn Stars is pretty fake. If it wasn’t it would be a pretty chaotic pawnshop and toxic work environment! The only thing that’s real is that Rick Harrison owns it.

The customers apply for the show with bizarre items. Then, there’s a vetting process that the show’s producers go through to figure out who would be good enough for TV. The products are never new, everyone has already seen them before the show started taping.
