The Office is one of Netflix's most popular series to date, and fans who know the show like the back of their hand are sad to see it being pulled from streaming services in 2021. In order to prepare, here's where the cast of the show is now.
Jenna Fischer, Pam
Pam Beesly is a beloved core character on The Office. She and Jim have the most pivotal love story, and she eventually graduates from secretary to saleswoman. The couple have been through their ups and downs, especially when Jim starts to work in Philadelphia. However, their character arcs come out stronger on the other side, and at the end of the show they move out of Scranton with their two kids.
Ladies Who Podcast
Since The Office ended, Jenna Fischer now co-hosts the Office Ladies podcast with Angela Kinsey. She also published a book in 2017 that featured an introduction from Steve Carell. She has two children, and one of her pregnancies was actually written into the show.
John Krasinski, Jim
John Krasinski's character Jim launched Krasinski into fame. Jim admittedly had been in love with Pam for years before they finally got together. Until then, he'd been dating Karen, and even tried to move away while Pam was engaged to Roy. Later, Jim starts a second job in Philadelphia working in sports marketing.
A Quiet Place
While Krasinski didn't have a job before his role as Jim, he's now writing and directing his own movies. His most recent work includes writing, directing, and starring in A Quiet Place alongside wife Emily Blunt. He also has production credits on the Casey Affleck and Kenneth Lonergan drama, Manchester By The Sea.
Ed Helms, Andy
Did you know Andy Bernard is a Cornell graduate? We'll say it again. He's a former member of the a capella group, the Tone Rangers, and had a long engagement to Angela before he found out she'd been cheating with Dwight. He also eventually earns the role as Dunder Mifflin Regional Manager.
The Hangover
Ed Helms famously starred in The Hangover across from Bradley Cooper and Zach Galifianakis. The franchise redefined the concept of a "buddy comedy" movie. Helms has also been seen in Vacation, True Story, and the 2020 Netflix show Coffee & Kareem.
Leslie David Baker, Stanley
No one hates working at Dunder Mifflin more than Stanley Hudson. The only time we ever see him smile is on Pretzel Day and when he's chosen to join the team in Florida for a week. Other than that, it's "Closing Time" every day at 5:00 sharp.
A New Niche in Crime Shows
Baker now has taken on several different types of roles. From appearing in various sitcoms like Raven's Home to mysteries like Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes on Television and The Happytime Murders, Baker has proven that he's more than just the sullen-faced Stanley Hudson-type.
B.J. Novak, Ryan
Ryan Adams went from temp to CEO to inmate and back to temp in a matter of minutes. The Dunder Mifflin whiz kid wooed Kelly Kapur and Michael Scott, definitely started the fire, and went on to become an almost-product developer for Sabre. He's also been snubbed for the Hottest In The Office Dundie Award more than once.
Ryan and Kelly Forever
Just like they did on the show, Mindy Kaling and B.J. Novak did date on and off for a little while. Now, Novak has published a book of short stories called "One More Thing: Stories and Other Stories," which earned a place on the New York Times Bestseller List. He also teamed up with Kaling to plan to write a book in 2015. His Blumhouse horror film, Vengeance, was in the middle of production when the COVID-19 pandemic hit and had to be put on pause.
Rainn Wilson, Dwight
Dwight tops the charts as most fans' favorite characters. The assistant to the regional manager, never not coveting Michael's position, is one of Dunder Mifflin's most eccentric employees. When he does eventually land the "acting" regional manager position, he accidentally shoots a gun in the office and blows the whole gig for himself.
An IRL Dwight
Since the show, actor Rainn Wilson has starred in Star Trek: Discovery, Mom, and The Power. He's definitely best-known for playing Dwight, but he has managed not to typecast himself in the role. He's also a prolific reader and is attuned to politics and news.
Ellie Kemper, Erin
Erin comes to the Dunder Mifflin team while Pam is on maternity leave, and is a less-than experienced receptionist. She starts dating Gabe, then later falls for Andy, and then later falls for Pete. She also has a mysterious past regarding her adoptive mother, with whom she is reunited with at the documentary's Q&A session.
She's Unbreakable
Kemper's other most successful role was in The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, which followed her character after she is rescued from a cult leader's underground bunker. She then has to assimilate back into society, and the result is intensely hilarious and heartwarming. The show also helped launch Titus Burgess's career.
Steve Carell, Michael
Michael Gary Scott is one of TV's most iconic characters. The dim-witted, though kind-hearted boss is loved at Dunder Mifflin, but not exactly respected. Always one to conjure up obscure events, ruin a party or two, and accidentally date someone's mom. The show wasn't the same when he moved to Colorado.
An In-Demand Actor
The World's Best Boss went on to become one of Hollywood's most in-demand actors. From starring in films like Space Force, Beautiful Boy, Welcome to Marwen, and Foxcatcher, Steve Carell has more depth beyond just comedy. He was nominated for an Oscar for his role in the Foxcatcher across from Channing Tatum.
Brian Baumgartner, Kevin
If the episode where Kevin drops his famous chili didn't give you secondhand embarrassment, it absolutely should have. Another member of the accounting department, Kevin's intelligence has been questioned on several occasions, Angela berating him about mistakes. Unfortunately, he's just not that bright and not that coordinated.
A Brand Deal
The aforementioned chili actually landed Baumgartner a deal with Bush's Baked Beans. He's also been featured in Hand of God, Good Behavior, Life in Pieces, and The Goldbergs. He's typecast himself thanks to his role as Kevin, but hey, it works.
Zach Woods, Gabe
Gabe joined the Dunder Mifflin crew after the company merged with the Kathy Bates-led printing company Sabre, and people were slow to warm up to him. His gangly, awkward sense of humor paired with his weird sense of authority make him the office's number one public enemy. He does start dating Erin, but that doesn't last very long.
A Silicon Valley Star
Zach Woods spent six seasons on the hit HBO series Silicon Valley until its end in 2019. He also starred in The Post with Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks, one of the largest projects of his career. He's also since appeared in Ghostbusters, the gender-swapped version of the classic Halloween film.
Craig Robinson, Darryl
Since The Office ended, Robinson has been on This Is the End, Sausage Party, Ghosted, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Most of his roles are comedic or just close enough to his real-life personality that the parts seem especially made for him. He also recently joined the cast of What We Do In the Shadows on FX.
Angela Kinsey, Angela
Angela is the head of the marketing department and the primary love interest of Dwight, even after she gets married. She's the uptight head of the party planning committee values function over fun. Since the show ended, Kinsey hosts the Office Ladies podcast with Jenna Fischer, where they recap stories from the set.
Paul Lieberstein, Toby
The hated head of HR, Toby, is Michael's number one enemy while working at Dunder Mifflin. However, actor Paul Lieberstein has had much better luck. He actually wrote and produced the comedy film, Song of Back and Neck.
Creed Bratton, Creed
Creed Bratton is arguably the most mysterious character on the show. No one knows what exactly his role at Dunder Mifflin is, no one knows how old he is, and he's almost always on the run from police. What crime did he commit? Is Creed Bratton even his name?
Kate Flannery, Meredith
No one really knows what Meredith's role at Dunder Mifflin is, but she at least always brings the fun. She's the first person to cause chaos at any holiday party, and the last one to stop drinking. Today, Kate Flannery works as a voice actress for various children's shows.
Oscar Nunez, Oscar
Oscar is one-third of the accounting department and becomes Angela's best friend after a series of romantic misfortunes. He's also the only openly gay main character on the show. After The Office ended, Nunez has appeared in various other sitcoms as comical side characters like New Girl.
Mindy Kaling, Kelly
The former customer service rep at Dunder Mifflin has had an impressive career since the show ended. Kaling went on to star in her own show, The Mindy Project from 2012 to 2017. She also co-created Four Weddings and a Funeral for Hulu and wrote Netflix's series Never Have I Ever.
Phyllis Smith, Phyllis
Phyllis Lapin-Vance was a beloved, although sometimes two-faced character on The Office. After the show, Smith went on to star in the Pixar movie Inside Out with Amy Poehler, Mindy Kaling, and Bill Hader. She also had a role in the hit series, The OA.
Melora Hardin
Michael's longtime flame and former supervisor Jan Levinson eventually went on to leave Dunder Mifflin, have a baby, and start her own company. She's the definition of a Girl Boss, and actress Melora Hardin is the same. Hardin even starred in The Bold Type as the CEO of a fashion magazine.
Clark Duke, Clark
A new hire, Clark is essentially the younger, more optimistic version of Dwight. He and his friend Pete take new jobs at Dunder Mifflin together and spice up the office social life. Actor Clark Duke has appeared in everything from Greek to Kickass.
Jake Lacy, Pete
Pete joins Dunder Mifflin along with Clark, and they operate as a Dwight and Jim sort of duo. Pete falls for Erin, which causes a rift with Andy. Actor Jake Lacy has been seen in Hulu's High Fidelity with Zoë Kravitz most recently.
David Koechner, Packer
Packer is one of Dunder Mifflin's most hated superiors, constantly harassing the employees and making fun of Michael in ways he doesn't pick up on. Actor David Koechner has been seen alongside Steve Carrel and Will Ferrell in the Anchorman films.
Andy Buckley, David Wallace
David Wallace was the former CEO of Dunder Mifflin, and his relationship with Michael Scott was always a little tumultuous. Actor Andy Buckley has been seen in Shameless, Veep, and Jurassic World as of most recently.
Kathy Bates, Jo Bennett
Sabre CEO and resident eccentric Jo Bennett takes over the office with her two Great Danes in The Office's later seasons. Kathy Bates expertly brings the southern business mogul to life, and is one of Hollywood's most treasured actresses. Her recent work includes many seasons on Ryan Murphy's American Horror Story.
Timothy Olyphant, Danny Cordray
Danny Cordray works as a traveling salesman who once asked Pam out before she was with Jim. He isn't well-liked around the office, so his stint doesn't last. Actor Timothy Olyphant is best known for his role in 2009's A Perfect Getaway.
Amy Ryan, Holly
The new head of HR for a time wins over Michael's heart, and they eventually get married and move to Colorado. Actress Amy Ryan starred alongside Steve Carrel once again in the film Beautiful Boy, playing Timothee Chalamet's divorced parents.
Jack Coleman, Senator Lipton
Angela's husband and Oscar's secret lover, Senator Robert Lipton, accidentally brought the two enemies closer together once they all split up their convoluted relationship. Actor Jack Coleman is best known for his time on the 1980s soap opera, Dynasty.
James Spader, Robert California
One of Dunder Mifflin's more frightening managers, Robert California, fills in after Michael leaves and various other bosses are tried on. The employees do their best to impress him, but they can never seem to figure out what exactly makes him happy. Actor James Spader is best known for his role in The Blacklist, from 2013-2021.
Will Ferrell, Deangelo Vickers
Deangelo Vickers is Michael Scott's first replacement as he leaves for Colorado, and even tries to help ease Vickers into the role. However, the employees just can't connect with him, and a lot of the women feel left out of his weird "boys club" meetings. Actor Will Ferrell has since been in several films, but he is best known for starring in the Anchorman films alongside Steve Carrel, so The Office was like a reunion.
Michael Schur, Mose Schrute
Dwight's cousin Mose lives at Schrute Farms and has a series of odd jobs throughout the show. For the most part, he just serves as Dwight's right-hand man. Actor Michael Schur is credited as a producer and writer for The Office and co-created Parks and Recreation.
Hugh Dane, Hank
Security guard Hank makes few appearances, but they're all impactful. At one point, he even serves as the deciding vote between Michael's decision to buy the office new chairs or a new copier. Actor Hugh Dane has also appeared in The Visit and Bridesmaids.
Catherine Tate, Nellie
When Andy flees Scranton on his boat, Nellie takes that opportunity to serve as Dunder Mifflin Scranton's branch manager. She's British and disagreeable and has some questionable work ethics, but she eventually becomes good friends with the employees. Catherine Tate has also been seen in Doctor Who and had her own comedy sketch series, The Catherine Tate Show.
Ameenah Kaplan, Val
New warehouse worker and Darryl's former girlfriend Val shapes up the warehouse crew while Darryl works upstairs. The two have a brief relationship until Darryl moves to Philadelphia to work with Jim. Actress Ameenah Kaplan has been seen in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
Rashida Jones, Karen
Rashida Jones joins the cast as Karen when Jim moves to work at a different Dunder Mifflin branch. The two dated for a while until he and Pam confess their feelings for each other (again.) Jones went on to star in Parks and Recreation as Anne Perkins and is married to Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Koenig.
David Denman, Roy
Pam had an off and on relationship with her fiancee Roy. The two had been engaged for years, but Pam eventually calls it off because of her feelings for Jim. Actor David Denman went on to play similar roles in other series, and was featured in NBC's Parenthood for a few seasons.
Idris Elba, Charles
Charles Miner comes to Dunder Mifflin from corporate to oversee progress, and of course Michael takes that as him stepping on some toes. Miner also captures the attention of nearly every woman in the office. Actor Idris Elba has had a prolific career, most well-known for his role in The Dark Tower.
Noel Petok, Troy
One of Ryan's corporate New York friends, Troy, doesn't get along so well with the rest of the Scranton crew. When Dwight and Michael crash a party, Dwight refers to him as a "Tolkien character." Actor Noel Petok has been seen in My Fair Brady and Flavor of Love.
Nicholas D'Agosto, Hunter
Jan's former assistant and alleged fling Hunter had a more comical, though fleeting, role on The Office. The selling point for his character was his solo CD, The Hunted. Actor Nicholas D'Agosto has been seen in Masters of Sex.
Ken Howard, Ed Truck
Ed Truck is responsible for hiring Michael Scott when he was just a salesman. Despite the pedestal, Michael places him upon, Ed wasn't super well-liked at corporate. Actor Ken Howard has been seen in The White Shadow and 1776.
Nancy Carell, Carol Stills
Steve Carell's real wife plays his one-time girlfriend Carol early in the series. She was the real estate agent who helped him buy his house and then later attends Dunder Mifflin's Casino Night event. She has also been seen in Angie Tribeca and Saturday Night Live.
Evan Peters, Luke
Evan Peters played Michael's nephew and Dunder Mifflin intern for a short stint. His time on the clock doesn't go so well because after he's reprimanded for slacking off so many times, Michael takes matters into his own hands and actually spanks him in front of the other employees. Evan Peters' most notable role since then is during his time on American Horror Story.
Thomas Middleditch, Jeb Schrute
Comedian Thomas Middleditch appears as Dwight's "cool" brother during the funeral episode. He left the farm to pursue a career in "pharmaceuticals," which we all know what that means. Since then, Middleditch starred in the improv series, "Middleditch and Schwartz" with Parks and Recreation star Ben Schwartz.
Josh Groban, Walter Bernard Jr.
Andy's brother Walter accidentally (on purpose) steals the spotlight during Andy's garden party. He threw it to impress his parents and his new boss, Robert California, but while dueting with his dad, Walter steps in and sings the song, "More Than Words," much better than Andy does. Since then, Groban has continued his longstanding music career.
Robert Shafer, Bob Vance
Bob Vance, of Vance Refrigeration, marries Phyllis in the earlier seasons of the show. He's mentioned more than he is seen, but when he and Phyllis are on screen together, their relationship is really sweet. Since the show ended, actor Robert Shafer has been seen in Side Effects and Criminal Minds.
Linda Purl, Helene Beesly
Remember when Michael met Pam's mom at Jim and Pam's wedding, and then they started dating? And then Michael couldn't get past the age gap and broke up with her? Tragic plotline. Purl has also been on shows like Happy Days and in the film Visiting Hours.
Mark Proksch, Nathan Nickerson
The odd one out in the warehouse crew, Nathan Nickerson, was actually picked up off the side of the road by Dwight. He's a little deaf, but only when there's a lot of noise and he can't figure out what the individual sounds are. Mark Proksch has also been in Better Call Saul.
Nora Kirkpatrick, Esther Bruegger
Esther is from Dwight's hometown, and the two of them share the same background. Both grew up on a farm and have German heritage, making them a perfect couple. Dwight proposes to her while Angela is married to the senator in an effort to move on. Kirkpatrick is also a member of the band Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.
Taylar Hollomon, Jada Philbin
Darryl's daughter Jada is featured on the show a few times. She visits during one holiday Christmas party, and Darryl, Pam, and Andy make an effort to give her the fun party she expected. Hollomon has also had roles on Camp and Community.
Amy Pietz, Donna Newton
Donna manages the gaming bar Sid & Dexters where she meets "Date Michael." Little does he know, she reels him in to having an affair with her so she can cheat on her husband. She's also won an award for her performance in Caroline In The City.
Tug Coker, Pete Halpert
Jim has two older brothers, Tom and Pete. They try to prank Jim during one of their earlier meetings with Pam, but it doesn't go over well and Jim gets super offended. Coker has also appeared in Now We're Talking.
