This bridge is a mighty 23.83 miles long. It connects New Orleans to the suburbs on the other side of Lake Pontchartrain. It’s about a 35 minute drive just over the bridge. Before it was built, people would have to drive all the way around the massive lake. This bridge cut down the travel time by 50 minutes.
