Zoey 101 was one of Nickelodeon's most popular series, featuring a cast of characters who all attended the same California boarding school. The writer is also credited for Drake & Josh and iCarly, but when Spears got pregnant, they pulled the plug on Zoey.

I Did It Again are some of the highest chart-topping songs of all time. Unfortunately, she suffered a psychotic break in 2007 and was unable to fully rebuild her career after.

Spears got her start in the early '90s, and some of her greatest moments were the release of her debut album, her high profile relationship with Justin Timberlake, and that Oops!...I Did It Again video. However, a whole new wave of allegations has surfaced, saying she doesn't have autonomy over any of her assets.

SNL actor Mike Myers is known as one of Hollywood's go-to funny guys. With roles ranging from Shrek to Cat in the Hat, and Austin Powers, there's not much his range can't account for. Word on the street, however, is that he's not exactly easy to work with. He was apparently very offensive toward Indians and Hindus while on the set of The Love Guru.
The Spy Who Ruined His Career
The Austin Powers franchise is arguably what Myers is best known for, aside from his SNL sketch Wayne's World. However, that legacy was easily tarnished after The Love Guru allegations came out, and now he sort of just lives as a mildly successful comedy actor today with few projects on deck.

Comedian Louis C.K. used to be one of America's favorite funny guys until the #MeToo Movement. Allegations surfaced that he'd sexually harrassed a handful of women while at the peak of his career. He admitted to it and then went off the grid following his relatively sincere apology.
An Unsuccessful Re-Entry
After things seemed to settle down, the comedian tried to make his entrance back into the comedy circuit, but he, unfortunately, did so with a joke about school shootings. The topic has been all too relevant in the last few years, and that just garnered more hate for him. Looks like C.K., his comedy, and his unfunny TV show won't have any place in Hollywood.
Shannen Doherty
90210 sweetheart Shannen Doherty wasn't exactly the nice girl while the cameras were off. She was accused of being incredibly difficult to work with, constantly late, and starting fights with her coworkers. That's the definition of diva behavior, and likely why her career after the show was pretty sparse.
A Long Battle With Cancer
Despite her shadowed past with Hollywood, Doherty is still liked among her former castmates. She is also relatively private and only disclosed late in her battle with cancer that she was sick with breast cancer. However, she did beat it, and when co-star Luke Perry died, she shared one of the most heartbreaking tributes among the 90210 cast.
Katherine Heigl
There's a reason why Katherine Heigl always gets typecast. She only fits the role as the vague blonde love interest with a boring career because she's notoriously difficult to work with. After her time on Grey's Anatomy, she was furious with how her character was written and caused tons of drama on set. She appeared in films like Knocked Up, 27 Dresses, and Life As We Know It, but all of those roles are pretty much exactly the same.
That Wild Plotline
In Heigl's defense, her character did have one of the most unbelievable storylines in an attempt to write her out of the show. Dr. Izzie Stevens fell in love with a ghost, then got cancer, then just up and left Seattle Grace Hospital. Shonda Rimes had probably had it up to here with Heigl's drama and didn't want to give her a graceful exit from the show.
Chevy Chase
National Lampoon and SNL star Chevy Chase has a pretty tumultuous history in Hollywood. Despite being one of the most in-demand comedy actors in the 1970s and 80s, he was a trainwreck of a person to work with. He had troubles with addiction and was known for being callous (and sometimes racist) on set. Despite being a funny guy, he doesn't know how to take a joke, and hated his time during a celebrity roast.
Christmas Vacation
Arguably one of the most popular holiday movies, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Chevy Chase can take credit for raising that film through the ranks. However, that's likely where his positive outlook on Hollywood ends. During his time on Community, co-star Donald Glover recalls that he created a racist and uncomfortable environment.

Outcasted
After the health scare, he did some reevaluating. However, nowadays Sorbo argues that he was blacklisted by Hollywood for being an outspoken Christian conservative, and had to turn to faith-based movies in order to continue his career.
Mel Gibson
Actor Mel Gibson, known for films like What Women Want, Signs, and Braveheart. However, allegations from his ex-wife came out saying that he was physically and verbally abusive. Several of his past partners have filed restraining orders against him. He also suffers from alcoholism and manic depression. After the initial abuse allegations came out, Hollywood stopped casting him.
A Triple Threat
Gibson had a truly prolific career in Hollywood. He was around every corner, in every film you could think of, and had many credits across projects. He directed, produced, and acted in nearly anything he had a hand in, and he had one of the industry's most promising careers. If only his personal life was a little cleaner.
It Doesn't End There...
In 2016, McSwiggan posted a video of himself titled I Did Gay Porn And I'm Sorry, which garnered a lot of negative criticism for how he portrayed the sex work industry. Leaked footage of the video surfaced on the Internet that portrayed him taking part in various explicit sex acts and he had to issue an apology to underage fans who may have seen it. His language was considered "demonizing" by workers in the industry, though.
Calum McSwiggan
Calum McSwiggan posted a photo of himself in a hospital gown, claiming he'd been jumped after leaving a gay club and then treated poorly by police when trying to report the accident. "I’ve never felt so terrified to be a gay man in the public eye,” he wrote. The real story is that he'd actually been arrested for vandalism, and both parties were guilty of assault.
Michael Jackson
The King of Pop's career was on a downturn in 2003, and he'd transformed from one of the world's most iconic musicians to a full-on recluse. His children wore veils in public and he was caught in the middle of several child abuse lawsuits, so it's safe to say that his career was over. After an accidental overdose in 2009, fans have been reluctant to listen to his music given his shady past.
RIP King of Pop

Serving His Time
R. Kelly has been in prison most of this year, and a judge has denied his request to leave holding due to the Coronavirus pandemic. In January 2019, Lifetime published a docuseries called Surviving R. Kelly, which interviewed several of the women involved in the scandal. A follow-up series was promised in 2020.
Chris Brown
Chris Brown is one of pop and R&B's shining stars for a time, that is until he started dating Rihanna. At a pre-Grammy party in 2009, the two got in a heated fight, and Brown actually physically attacked Rihanna. She left with a split lip, lesions on her forehead, and bruises on her cheeks. Brown has never been able to recover from what he did, and his reputation is rightfully tarnished.
A Comeback?
Brown has been attempting to make a comeback, considering he was at one point the biggest name in pop and R&B. Some fans have been able to forgive him for what he did to Rihanna, but many are loyal to her and are weary that his apologies have ever been sincere. His music as of late also just hasn't been up to his original standard.
Mary J. Blige
Mary J. Blige is known for taking things a little too far when it comes to branding her image. Fans seemed to have had enough with her when she sang in a Burger King commercial about fried chicken. That, to fans, looked like she was encouraging racial stereotypes.
Rebuilding Her Image
After undoing going several personal struggles like a divorce, Blige has been in the process of working on herself. That includes learning how to work better with others and releasing new music to match the caliber of her 13 platinum albums. Despite her controversy, she's still one of music's biggest names.
Boy George
Culture Club singer Boy George was involved in a strange sex scandal that ultimately tarnished his reputation. He served 15 months in jail for handcuffing and beating a male escort in his hotel room. Doesn't matter how catchy "Karma Chameleon" is, this guy is definitely unwell.
A Reality Judge
Like many singers whose careers have lost relevancy, George has been a judge on various iterations of The Voice. He's also made several attempts at reviving his solo career, but the songs flopped for the most part. He's also used his platform to chair several cancer-related initiatives.
Ashlee Simpson
Anyone else remember that tragic SNL performance from 2004? While she'd intended to sing the song "Autobiography," the backing track for the song "Pieces of Me" started to play instead, which revealed to a live broadcast that she'd been lip-syncing the entire time. SNL cut to commercial right away...
A Full Comeback
Simpson is now a mother of three and married to singer Evan Ross, with who she also has released music. She's come full circle since the SNL debacle, and her new image is ten times cooler than she ever was in the early 2000s. She is also a great co-parent with ex-husband Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy.
Jared Fogle
You might want to think twice before you purchase that $5 foot long from Subway. The spokesperson for the chain, Jared Fogle, was arrested in 2015 for child pornography and paying for sex with minors. Now, his weight loss net worth of $15 million is going to waste while he sits in jail.
An Unsuccessful Pardon
Fogle has been serving time for years, and has even called on former President Trump to pardon his crimes. The plea was unsuccessful even though he claims he's in prison due to a widespread conspiracy and that he never would have pleaded guilty otherwise. However, the plea was shot down, and he's still serving his 15-year sentence.
Mariah Carey
Mariah Carey has a legacy that has been able to outlast any faux pas, for whatever reason. She closed out 2016's New Year's Rockin' Eve show in Times Square by refusing to sing because she couldn't hear the track. She also lip-synced during the same performance. All she had to say for her diva behavior was "it happens."
Queen of Christmas
Say what you want about her, but Mariah Carey still has Christmas in the palm of her hand. Whether she can really sing or not, you can't go a single holiday season without hearing "All I Want For Christmas Is You." That song will live in infamy on the airwaves.
Michael Richards
The "Seinfeld" star was caught in the middle of a heated and race-fueled rant during a stand-up set. He was found guilty for angrily harassing a black man in the crowd, and that was the swift undoing of his career. He at least was incredibly remorseful, because he said he broke down in shame right after the performance.
Cosmo Kramer
Despite his faux pas, Kramer is one of "Seinfeld"'s most lovable characters. The often not-so-bright neighbor with a frequent agenda is a key member of the foursome, and his sense of humor is most relatable to fans. He even appeared in "Curb Your Enthusiasm" as a part of an in-show "Seinfeld" revival.
Lil Wayne
Did you know that Lil Wayne had the audacity to compare the murder of Emmett Till to some sexually explicit acts in his songs? There's a line that goes: "beat that p***y like Emmett Till" in Future's "Karate Chop" remix. The line references the young black man who was murdered in 1955 for allegedly whistling at a white woman. In no way is this ever an acceptable thing to say. Lil Wayne issued a lengthy apology and the song was pulled from all airwaves.
A Presidential Pardon
Lil Wayne was pardoned the day before Donald Trump left office for a firearm charge. Trump was allegedly a fan of the rapper's music, and he was a part of the hundreds of last-minute pardons that occurred before Joe Biden took office in January 2021. Lil Wayne issued a formal thank you following the events.
Miguel
During Miguel's 2013 performance of "Adorn" at the Billboard Music Awards, one girl had a night she'd never forget. The singer tried to jump over the pit but accidentally crashed into some fans before he could land the second stage. One girl threatened to sue him and his team because she was severely injured and never received proper treatment on sight.
Janet Jackson
This isn't really Jackson's fault, but she's never been able to live this moment down. During 2004's Super Bowl halftime show, the event that has most famously been called "Nipplegate" occurred. Right at the end of the performance, Justin Timberlake reached across Jackson's chest, but he pulled on her top a little too aggressively, and the camera caught a glimpse of Jackson's breast.
Jennifer Grey
Jennifer Grey played the starring role in the 1980's hit Dirty Dancing. Later on in her career, she decided to get a nose job because she'd been quoted as saying she was always insecure about it. For whatever reasons, fans majorly disrespected the decision because her nose was "her most identifying feature." Oh well!
Robin Thicke
2013's "Blurred Lines" will likely always live in infamy. Not only was the video incredibly raunchy, but his one-time performance with Miley Cyrus was just as uncomfortable to watch. There was a certain R-rated dance move performed, and Thicke tried to blame it on Cyrus. That didn't work, Thicke's wife filed for divorce, and his career tanked.
Natalia Kills
Live talent shows require a lot of composure on the judge's end. New Zealand's version of "The X Factor" features a panel with Natalia Kills in the judge's chair. She took the meaning of "constructive criticism" to a whole new level when she completely roasted one singer. She called 2015 contestant Joe Irvine "a laughing stock" and accused him of ripping off her own husband, Willy Moon. Kills and Moon were later fired from the show.
Natalie Maines
Natalie Maines, the singer for The Dixie Chicks, has a hard time separating politics from her art. Not saying she has to, but one particular remark didn't go over well with fans. She made some comments about President Bush, and radio stations stopped playing her music and wanted to pull her from streaming platforms. She didn't care what her southern conservative fans thought and is one of music's most badass women.
Mark Salling
"Glee" star Mark Salling ran into some legal trouble in 2015 when the former singer and actor was accused of rape and child pornography. Despite his high-profile career and promising talent, he was scrubbed from fame with these charges. However, he committed suicide in 2018 because of the ordeal.
Sinead O'Connor
Despite her famous songs like "Nothing Compares 2 U," O'Connor is known for being one of music's most outspoken performers, and it's gotten her in trouble more than a few times. During a 1992 SNL performance, she changed the lyrics to Bob Marley's "War" with lines that detailed the rampant child abuse cases occurring at the hands of the Catholic Church. She also ripped up a photo of Pope John Paul II live on camera.
Jeffrey Jones
Remember the jerk principal from "Ferris Bueller's Day Off"? He was just as unlikeable in real life. Jones was charged with counts of child pornography in 2002 and was sentenced to 5 years probation. He's also a registered sex offender.
Jerry Lee Lewis
Iconic musician Jerry Lee Lewis was just 23 when he married his first wife. She? Was his 13-year-old first cousin. They kept the fine-print details of their marriage private until a reporter did some digging and leaked the truth. His popularity absolutely plummeted after the story broke. Despite that, the couple stayed together for 13 years.
Charles Rocket
The 1980-81 season of SNL has gone down in history as one of its worst. On the season's 11th episode, Charles Rocket was in charge of the "Weekend Update" segment, and unfortunately, he didn't read his cues too closely. He let out a string of F-words and the studio quickly fired Rocket for the stunt.
Amanda Bynes
2012 marked the beginning of the end of former child star Amanda Bynes. She was arrested for hitting a police officer with her car and racked up 2 DUIs. She was also placed on a psychiatric hold and has been in and out of rehab for the last couple of years.
Jamie Kennedy
Scream alum Jamie Kennedy is the host of the tragic New Years Day show. It's a show with little plot, the camera is almost never directly focused on Kennedy, and the profanity bleeper misses the correct mark almost every time. It came and went in 2013 and Kennedy's career flopped with it.
Milli Vanilli
Milli Vanilli's 1990 performance of "Girl You Know It's True" for a live-to-tape MTV segment revealed that the duo was lip-syncing their song when the track skipped. Journalists and fans blacklisted them from the industry and some lawsuits were even filed. The band's Grammy was even revoked.
Doug Williams
Shaq featured comedian Doug Williams on his All Star Comedy Roast to take some jabs at footballer Emmitt Smith. Williams gets about three jokes into his set when Jamie Foxx starts going at him, mocking all of his punchlines and even telling him to get off the stage. Foxx later apologized, but Williams couldn't come back from the roast.
Ian Watkins
The Lostprophets singer should never ever make a comeback. Ian Watkins released five studio albums up until his 1997 arrest. The charges included taking and/or making indecent photos of children and one count of extreme bestiality. Time to take those Lostprophets songs off of your playlists.
Charlie Sheen
Charlie Sheen's ultimate undoing was revealing that he was HIV-positive on live TV in 2015. 10 of his previous sexual partners sued him after the news broke because he hadn't disclosed the truth to them. He claimed, however, that he had told all 200+ of the women that he'd slept with, but that turned out to be false.
Hulk Hogan
Hulk Hogan was put under fire for making some extremely racist comments in the middle of his own sex tape. That's a two-for-one. He says he's "racist to a point," and follows the comment with various slurs. He was immediately terminated from WWE events after the video surfaced.
Howard Dean
The 2004 Presidential campaign ended with the Democratic party nearly gaining a chance at contesting Republican incumbent George W. Bush. However, Vermont governor Howard Dean was on his way to winning the polls when he blew it in one horrific moment. He was fired up during a rally, promising to "TAKE BACK THE WHITE HOUSE" when he just let out a legitimate scream. Historically, he did not win.
Stephen Collins
Former "7th Heaven" star Stephen Collins was blacklisted from Hollywood after admitting that he had pedophilic tendencies. He'd admitted to inappropriate contact with a 10-year-old girl as well as three other minors. His wife swiftly filed for divorce and it's unlikely he'll ever work around children ever again.
Belle Gibson
Disgraced health blogger Belle Gibson is the very woman who faked brain cancer in order to boost her app and cookbook sales. She based her entire career on being sick and using it to propel her wellness blog. She was confronted on Australia's version of 60 Minutes.
CeeLo Green
CeeLo Green has some pretty immoral opinions on rape. He was quoted as saying "People who have really been raped REMEMBER!!!!…If someone is passed out they’re not even WITH you consciously! so WITH implies consent.” After that remark, he was pulled from shows, and his TBS series The Good Life was canceled.
Jackie Mason
Jackie Mason never lived down a 1964 Ed Sullivan Show appearance. He'd earned a recurring slot, but it was revoked when he intentionally gave the finger to both live and studio audiences. Sullivan didn't tolerate that kind of stuff, and Mason's career suffered because of it.
Michael Vick
Former football player Michael Vick was charged with organizing dog fighting rings in 2006. He went to prison, came back, and had a somewhat successful career after, but many people feel that animal abuse doesn't deserve forgiveness. Hopefully, he's never allowed to own pets.
Gilbert Gottfried
The actor behind the voice of the Aflac Duck got into some hot water after he sent out a tasteless tweet. Following the Tsunami that killed thousands of Japanese people, he wrote "Japan is really advanced. They don’t go to the beach, the beach comes to them." Aflac — based in Japan — dropped him immediately.
Paula Deen
Celebrity chef Paula Deen was put under fire after it was revealed that her workplace is an environment of "violent, sexist, and racist behavior in her restaurants." Then it broke that Deen freely uses racial slurs, and instead of a pologizing, she deflected the criticism and played the victim instead.
Tila Tequila
The majority of Tila Tequila's fame comes from Internet trolling. She released a rant in 2013 titled "Why I Sympathize With Hitler: Part 1." That implies that there's a part 2. She also posted a photo of herself in 2016 posing like a Nazi.
Josh Duggar
The oldest brother from TLC's 19 Kids and Counting admitted to molesting four of his younger sisters when he was a teenager. Josh Duggar was — unsurprisingly — defended by his parents, who said "He was just curious about girls and he had gone in and just basically touched them under their clothes while they were sleeping. They didn’t even know he had done it.” For whatever reason, the show still stayed on the air.
A.J. Clemente
Newscaster A.J. Clemente had a f**king s***y first day on the job. Before he realized the mic was on and the camera was rolling, he let out a string of profanities, likely because he was nervous. Co-anchor Van Tieu's face is priceless when she realizes what's going on. He quickly tried to compose himself but was of course fired. Now, he's a bartender.
Jenny Slate
SNL really doesn't have the patience for people who swear on live TV. Jenny Slate performed in a sketch she'd written called "Biker Chick Chat," and one line used the word "friggin," but she'd accidentally misspoke and said the actual F-word. She and the audience both awkwardly laughed through the moment, but Slate left the show after the first season.
Aaron Hernandez
New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was arrested in 2013 in connection with the murder of Odin Lloyd. He was later charged and sentenced to prison that was also close to his former playing field, Gillette Stadium. After more crimes surfaced against him, Hernandez committed suicide.
Montana Fishburne
Montana Fishburne made her Hollywood debut in a series of X-rated films. However, she probably should have read the contract a little closer, because the film didn't even pay her. It also drove a rift between her and her family, her father being The Matrix star Laurence Fishburne. She also did some time in prison.
Karmin
Karmin was tasked with following Lana Del Rey's SNL performance in 2012. That seems like an unfair slot to give to a newcomer, and she most certainly didn't meet expectations. Her performance was all-around awful, and she quickly fell into obscurity after that.
Dani Mathers
Mathers, a former Playmate, filmed a 71-year-old woman in a gym shower and harassed her online. She wrote "If I can’t unsee this then you can’t either.” The issue was taken to court and Mathers had to serve 45 days in prison and do 30 days of community service.
Zoe Sugg
Zoe Sugg, one of YouTube's most successful beauty gurus, released a makeup advent calendar in 2017 with a hefty price tag. Her fans even trolled her social media and uncovered some nasty tweets she'd posted years before. She apologized for both the advent calendar and the harmful tweets, saying the comments were taken out of context and she'd never say anything like that today.
Ryan Lochte
2012's "Lochtegate" was the product of Lochte and other Olympic teammates claiming they were held at gunpoint while attending the Rio games. The story was fabricated and Lochte admitted to being drunk at the time. He lost several of his largest endorsements because of the scandal.
Felix Kjellberg
YouTuber Pewdiepie was caught using some anti-Semitic language and posting Nazi propaganda in one of his posts in 2017. He also used the N-word in one of his livestreams in the same year. He issued a swift formal apology that said the word was used "in the heat of the moment, and one of the worst things” he could have possibly thought of. “I’m not going to make any excuses as to why I did it, because there are no excuses for it.”
Veronica Rose & Jason Sampson
These YouTubers published a photo with the caption "2 years of Cultural Appropriating" so they could show off their newly dyed dreadlocks. They clearly didn't care about the harm they were doing, and social media users fired back. Black people are still stigmatized for wearing dreadlocks, but this weirdo couple didn't seem phased. They never even apologized.
Logan Paul
Logan Paul published a video to YouTube that showed him walking through Japan's "suicide forest" and showing footage of a dead body hanging from a tree. He was also cracking jokes the entire time, and the extremely disrespectful clip earned him some major criticism. He apologized and said he was only trying to bring awareness to suicide prevention, but many people found that hard to believe. YouTube suspended his ad revenue, one of his biggest sources of income, after that.
Anthony Fantano
Anthony Fantano, one of YouTube's premiere music critics, was put under fire after it was discovered that he was behind an alt-right channel called thatistheplan. It's like 4Chan and has content that rages against women and SJWs. Even though his channel, The Needle Drop, is so successful, people weren't sure about his character anymore and he lost 400,000 subscribers.
Patrick Starrr
Starrr posted a photo of himself wearing a curly afro wig in 2017, but his followers didn't appreciate the "costume." They shamed him for attempting to "look black," and he lost tons of followers on YouTube. Fans take cultural appropriation seriously, even if influencers don't.
Jeffree Star
Jeffree Star has feuded with the likes of Kylie Jenner for years. He slammed the quality of her products and even came at Kat Von D and Kim Kardashian to start more fires. In 2018, it came out that Kylie took Star off of her Kylie Cosmetics mailing list.
Tana Mongeau
YouTuber Tana Mongeau is known for marrying Jake Paul on a whim, but has also faced criticism for using racial slurs and then delivering an insincere apology. She called out YouTuber iDubbbz for his repeated use of the N-word, but then he did some digging and found tons of instances where she did the same thing. Not only is she racist, but she's also hypocritical.
Sam Pepper
Pepper posted a video of himself assaulting a woman in 2014, and the video garnered some heavy criticism. Unfortunately, he didn't learn his lesson. In 2015, he uploaded another video, this time a mean prank where a man was convinced his best friend had been murdered in front of him.
Nicole Arbour
Arbour's "Dear Fat People" video didn't come off as satirical as she'd hoped. While she just wanted to encourage obese people to lose weight, it couldn't have been more tasteless if she tried. She was rightfully accused of fat-shaming afterwards.
Adam Saleh
In 2016, Saleh posted a prank video of himself getting kicked off of a plan for speaking Arabic. Of course, that wasn't true, and the airline received a lot of heat for appearing racist before it was revealed that the video was faked. Nobody was on the other end of the line, and he'd made a friend yell in Arabic across the plane in order to make a scene.
Austin Jones
In 2019, singer Austin Jones was convicted to 10 years in prison for encouraging underage girls to send him inappropriate photos and videos, which added up to several counts of child pornography. He asked 30 girls to "prove" that they were real fans of his by getting naked on camera and performing lewd acts for him. YouTube rightfully terminated his channel.
Sam & Nia (Part 1)
Christian YouTubers Sam and Nia faked a pregnancy and a miscarriage for views. That is such damaging behavior and triggering to so many viewers. Many people thought their reaction in the video just didn't make sense ,and then Sam later admitted "It was all orchestrated by God above and nothing else."
Sam & Nia (Part 2)
If that wasn't bad enough, Sam was accused of Cheating on Nia in 2015. He was a member of the incriminating dating site, Ashely Madison. He'd been on the site since 2013, but apparently, Nia forgave him. Unless the whole thing was also staged.
Marina Joyce
Marina Joyce uploaded a video in 2017 that viewers feel was a cry for help. There were suspicions that she'd been kidnapped by ISIS, and when she began advertising for a rave meet-up, people were convinced that the rave was an ISIS plot. Apparently, all of these theories were false.
