These Iconic Songwriters Made Insane Fortunes

Ariana Grande ($50 million)

Ariana Grande started as a television star in the Nickelodeon show “Victorious” which, in theory, should have made Victoria Justice much more popular than she is. Grande dipped her toes into music for the first time in 2011 when she got her own tunes features on “Victorious,” and her career has been extremely successful since. Right now, Ariana Grande is the only woman in history to have three albums reach #1 on the Billboard, and she was the first woman since Ke$ha to have a debut album and single to top out the charts.

Paul Simon ($55 million)

You might know him from Simon and Garfunkel, or maybe from his critically acclaimed solo album “Graceland,” Paul Simon is a juggernaut of the music industry and he continues to keep things interesting to this day. After Simon and Garfunkel stopped playing music together, Paul Simon released a self-titled album that had some timeless hits like “Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard,” and “Run That Body Down,” which ended up netting him an absolute load of money.
