Unbelievable Construction Fails That Actually Happened

Rome wasn’t built in a day, but these structures sure seem like they were. These construction mistakes will have you thanking your local government for not building anything this stupid.

There’s a Pole There

Not sure who’s bright idea this one was, but there’s no way this made it past a civil inspection. Let’s hope nobody plans on driving down this road at night.

Slide into the Sewer

Based on the way the slide is turned, we’re assuming that the idea is to send the slider away from the hole. The problem here is that the municipality okayed building a playground that has concrete portals to hell built in. At least cover them up first.

Solid Urban Planning

This might be the cruel reality of the future since cities are building apartment buildings anywhere nowadays. Have fun dodging cars traveling 60 mph while you’re just trying to get to your mailbox.

Two for One

Either this wasn’t well thought out, or the person who designed it is a genius. Imagine, sitting in the urinal and soaking your feet in a nice, cool bath. This is the ideal society that humans have struggled to achieve for thousands of years.

Send-It

Watch any movie starring one of those famous buff bald dudes (Vin Diesel, Bruce Willis, Dwayne Jhonson) and you’ll understand how to use this garage. Combo this with a rented sports car, five cans of Red Bull, and a white tank top and you can live that reality too.

Starting to Get it

This is either one of the most terrible hazards ever constructed for bikers, who already have it rough enough, or a modern art exhibit. Both are really bad ideas, and this is a direct threat to anyone who’s just trying to get to work.

The Bad Boy Door

This is what we call in the business, “The Bad Boy Door.” If you’ve been a bad boy, you get shoved out the bad boy door. Plain and simple. If you follow the rules you don’t get shoved out the bad boy door, these gentlemen are victims of the bad boy door.

Let Me In… LET ME IN

Imagine being the poor sucker who stumbles here drunk, probably crashing on their friend’s couch. Your phone is dead, you have nothing else to do because you can’t get through the gate so you sleep in the grass next to the door, then you wake up to see this nonsense.

Feeling Up for a Challenge?

This is for expert drivers only, no exceptions. Wait, actually there’s one exception, people who drive smart cars. You don’t have to be a good driver at all to back past this, you actually have a ton of room if you drive a smart car.

The Guest Ledge

Giving a new meaning to “hanging out,” the self-installable guest ledge features complete instability and no way to get back on the one that leads to safety. Kind of like your last relationship.

A World Designed for Parkour

Getting your cardio and calisthenics in on one staircase, this sounds like an ideal situation. Maybe this would be inspiring for someone who has considered getting into parkour or rock climbing but just didn’t want to take the leap.

This Is Fine

It would take a real daredevil to even consider crossing this bridge over troubled water. It took a supreme moron to make something this stupid, or possibly just a temporary way to preserve the bridge from falling. Either way, just swim under it, that’s probably your best bet.

Real Fake Doors

Nothing like going to take a wiz, opening the stall door, and falling 20 feet onto concrete. Unsure why this door was here, to begin with, assuming there used to be a building in the lot that this photo was taken in.

This is the Final Stop

All aboard!! This train is headed eastbound 25 feet, all stops. Please fasten your seatbelt, our trip will be approximately 10 seconds long.

No Tree for Me

This a best case scenario for people who don’t own cars, but bought the house with the garage attached. My advice, just park behind the tree and use the garage to practice with your sick 311 cover band.

Raising the Stakes

You know when you’re trying to take money out of an ATM and you have to put your card in and wait because it’s reading the chip, then it starts screaming at you until you remove your card? Imagine that but you can’t get your card out.

Making it Work

Sometimes its best to just try and work with what you got. As weird as this situation is, it’s probably a funny talking piece at parties. That and, you’ll never accidentally walk in on someone your bathroom ever again.

Stairway to Nowhere

Looks like this foreman was lacking forethought. Unless this window was designed to be the doorway to some secret society meeting place. Either way, this is totally a fire hazard.

Maybe Try Rolling

This one’s for all the Dark Souls fans out there. Next time you’re trapped in a room with no doors in real life, just take out your sword and start smacking the walls until one of them opens up for you.

A Bonding Experience

Nothing says “bro for life” better than sharing a stall with your best bud. Or, you can take this one solo and alternate between the two.

Sank the Dismount

Human beings have separated themselves from primates and other animals over time through the use of tools. Unfortunately, some humans aren’t too great at using those tools.

The Guest Entrance

Well, this can’t possibly be a home for the elderly. My guess is that the stairs are coming soon, but much like video game companies say that their products are coming soon, I wouldn’t get my hopes up.

Nothing to See Here Anyways

Not really worried about what that door leads to, more concerned about what it’s keeping in.

Only One Way Out, Only One Way In

Hiring a security detail to hang out around your house is necessary after this kind of renovation.

The Daredevil Door

Every home has this door, but underneath is a really cool swimming pool surrounded by trampolines, so no danger.

Just Keep Walking

Eh, this one isn’t so bad. They’re probably gonna fix it when the county funds their construction in 15 years.

Bridge Over Troubled Water

Really? How could you possibly mess up that bad?

Win-don’t

I heard this room gets priced based on a *sliding scale.*

Eh, It’s Not That Bad

Some people are definitely going to get the picture, maybe one more go-over would be best though.

Stairway to… Somewhere I Guess

This is the new prototype “jet to Hogwarts,” you have to sign a waiver to try it out.

This is Actually Pretty Nice

Assuming the train doesn’t run on this track anymore, we think this is a pretty okay balcony.

This is How Horror Movies Work

Not sure if this is a hospital or a high school, either way, you need to get the hell out of there pronto.

So Many Sewers

This is just the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle’s summer camp for kids. Nothing to see here, move along.

At Least It’s Not Too High Up

You gotta get your money out somehow, there are worse alternatives.

So Close

This bench says “please come sit on me” while this fencing says “welcome to discomfort town.”

This is Actually More Common Than You Would Think

Yeah, buddy just go right ahead and smash your whole dang body right into that pole at top speed!

Launchpad is Clear

It’s gonna be so sick when this train jumps the Grand Canyon.

Security is the Top Priority

Maintaining security equipment is key to keeping a space safe.

Never Meant… To Put That There

On the bright side, nobody can see into that window now!

Gotta Make The Leap

This is actually just “Extreme Baseball,” which I have already invested a ton of money into.

Built for Stilts

This is the entrance to the second level of clown college.

Why Does This Happen So Much?

Honestly, the world seems too full of dangerous doors leading to absolute doom. Seems like this is holding the human race back pretty substantially.

False Advertising

This is either an elaborate joke or a catastrophic mistake. Either way, I’m gonna use the elevator.

Right This Way Sir

Well, it is definitely an exit. This is probably for the VIP section of the mall.

Just A Little Measurement Issue

You know the phrase “measure twice, cut once?” This theory applies here, big time.

The Work of an Idiot

How could someone have missed this door, its bright yellow!!

Getting in and Coming Out

I like to think that this is the door to a bathroom and someone really REALLY needed to go.

Hello? Anyone There?

It’s really unbelievable how these things just slip between the cracks.

Limbo Checkpoint

It’s time to show off what you got, limbo under the drainage pipe if you’re a real one.

Right To The Source

Whoever built this is definitely now in jail.

Practice Stairs

This is just to make sure that the community you’re surrounded by knows how to use stairs properly.

Two New Places

This could just be the dividing line between counties in the area.

Halt! Who Goes There!

You ain’t stopping anybody pal.

1-Step, 2-Step, 3-Step, Wall

Once again, just try rolling. If it worked in a video game it’ll for sure work in real life.

Double Threat

Can’t close the door, can’t walk up stairs, WHAT CAN YOU DO HERE?

The Ol’ Shimmy

We feel like this one is actually doable if you believe in yourself and train vigorously.

Oh… It’s Like That, Huh?

I bet these railings were put here to prevent people from skating on these stairs. Shame on you, local government.

Standing on the Toilet

Read the title again, but this time, believe in yourself.

The Horizontal Experiment

We heard that this it the bathroom for the astronauts training to go to Mars, gotta get used to going #2 in zero-g.

Seeing is Believing

Guys? I think we made a big mistake.
