Viola Davis Shows Off Pictures of Adorable New Puppy

Oscar-winning actress Viola Davis has a new fur-ever friend.

The 55-year-old shared the news on social media that she had adopted an adorable puppy named Bailey.

"Found the cure for the COVID blues. Meet our newest family member....BAILEY," Davis captioned a sweet video that featured the little guy surveying his new life with the Davis family.

"#WalkingLikeHeOwnsOurHouse" was the hashtag Davis included to demonstrate that Bailey already seems familiar with the lay of the land.

Although Davis hasn't always been a dog mom, Bailey isn't the only pup who stole her heart. In 2018, the actress expressed her love and affection for Olivia, the West Highland terrier who she met on the set of Widows.

Davis expressed her lack of enthusiasm with the idea of a canine costar before quickly changing her tune.

"I don't own a dog in life, so I was [complaining] like, 'I've gotta work with a dog. What if the dog licks me? Dogs are nasty and disgusting,'" Davis said. "Within the first five minutes, I'm kissing the dog, I'm holding the dog, the dog was on my chest," she added. "I love that dog, and she came to me so easily."
