This Boss Used a Filter To Turn Herself Into a Potato

Zoom is the newest popular video calling application that can accommodate people working from home during the coronavirus. Lizet Ocampo and her team at People for the American Way were using the app to connect for a virtual happy hour, a trend that has made waves during the new coronavirus quarantine. While playing around with the video features, Lizet found something hilarious: a potato filter.

Lizet put the filter on and the team laughed at their newest spud-like coworker. "We had our meeting and I usually try to do a camera," said Lizet, "[A]nd when we started the meeting, I saw myself as a potato." She had downloaded some funny filters, but then couldn't figure out how to turn it off! The team tried to figure it out but eventually gave up on the transformation. "I just kind of gave up and stayed as a potato for the rest of the call," she said.

Her coworker, Rachel, tweeted out a screenshot of the interaction taking place and it wasn't long before the tweet took off. As of writing, the tweet has over 921,000 likes on the site. She said that she's glad the technical mishap could make some people's day a little brighter but gives everyone this warning: "I hope folks are really taking seriously to be safe and stay planted."
