A Single Mom From Florida

Nicole Nagziger was 21 years old with a two-year-old daughter, May, when she decided to try online dating. She wasn't with the father of her child, and she was tired of being alone. While most people don't usually have luck navigating long-distance relationships, Nicole's story turned out a little differently...

A Bachelor From Morocco

Azan Tefou was on dating sites for the same reason as Nicole, and as luck would have it, the pair matched. Neither seemed to be deterred that they were separated by an ocean, so they decided to give a long-distance relationship a try. Unfortunately, things wouldn't be smooth sailing for very long...

Her Family Wasn't Thrilled

Nicole still lived at home with her parents, and after months, she told them about her relationship with Azan. They were immediately skeptical of this man she'd never met. Unfortunately, their worries wouldn't end there...

A Mother's Intuition

Nicole and her own mother had different parenting styles. Nicole's mother was wary of Azan and knew Nicole needed to put May first. Nicole felt a little differently, and since May was so young, she figured she'd be able to easily adapt to a big change...

An Impulsive Trip

A few weeks later, Nicole announced that she was going to visit Azan in Morocco for five weeks without May. Her family was upset and concerned, to say the least, but Nicole insisted this was the right decision. She was ready to meet Azan for the first time and prove to her family that she was the one...

A Rocky Start

When Azan picked up Nicole at the airport in Morocco, things didn't go exactly as planned. Apparently, he wasn't immediately a fan of her appearance and made some rude comments. That wasn't the only road bump the couple faced during her visit...

Culture Shock

One thing that Nicole didn't know about Morocco was that the culture had strict rules about public displays of affection. Nicole didn't understand this and had a hard time following it. She had dreamed about being with Azan in person, but he felt she was being disrespectful of his culture. Unfortunately, she had another issue to bring up with him...

A Shocking Betrayal

Early on in the trip, Nicole revealed to Azan that she had something important to tell him. Apparently, Nicole had cheated with a man from Florida before her trip to Morocco. Azan was disappointed and hurt by her betrayal...

A Second Chance

Despite her infidelity, Nicole and Azan decided to work through things. They'd come this far, she'd come all the way to Morocco, and both thought the other was the one. They worked through the betrayal and the culture shock for the rest of her trip...

The Ultimate Question

Before Nicole returned to the United States, Azan had a question for her. To her surprise, he proposed. Though the five weeks had flown by, now Nicole didn't want to leave Morocco at all. However, she did have to go home to her daughter, but not before she told him "yes"...

Back to Morocco

A few months later, Nicole decided to return to Morocco, this time with her daughter. She kept trying to introduce May to her new "dad," which made Azan feel a little uncomfortable. This time, the trip posed a whole new set of difficulties...

Marriage Is Off the Table

Nicole and Azan had to call off all the wedding planning thanks to an oversight on Nicole's part. While getting everything in order, she had bought copies of marriage documents rather than real ones. That meant their marriage and Azan's visa application were no good, and he wouldn't be able to come to the United States with her...

A Change of Plans

Azan and Nicole decided they'd just live in Morocco together instead of Azan returning to Florida with Nicole. They also decided to use the money they would have spent on a wedding to open their own store. Apparently, their plan didn't exactly work...

Lies Pile Up

Producers of the TLC show "90 Day Fiance" that Nicole and Azan starred on revealed the store never existed. Despite Nicole telling her mother back home that they'd opened one, the couple never had. That was just one of many shady things that happened to the two of them...

Giving Long Distance Another Shot

Since Nicole and Azan's plan to marry in Morocco fell through, she had to once again return to Florida without him. He was unable to obtain his visa since the couple never married, so he continued to live in Morocco. Fortunately, Nicole was ready to talk to her family about another plan...

One Small Favor

In order to go through with the wedding, Nicole asked her family to monetarily sponsor Azan so he could obtain his visa and come to the United States before they were married. Her family was shocked by the request. They still weren't sure this was a good idea...

To Make Matters Worse...

An Instagram user brought up claims of infidelity on Azan's part while Nicole was back in the United States wedding planning.  “I am a europian moroccan and i know his aunt. She laugh so hard about Nicole and they all know that Azan is not in love with Nicole and they support him in taking her money. They are NEVER gonne let him marry Nicole. Sorry for the bad English,” wrote the user...

Is Azan Who He Says He Is?

In an additional comment, they added, “He dont want to leave Marocco. If he wanted to leave he could because his family have family in The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. He could marry a girl from there but he want a good life in Morocco. He is lying about that he cant transfer money to her. The engegement ring was so cheap.” The user could not be verified, but fans of the show, and even Nicole's family, had their doubts about Azan from the start, and this didn't help his case...

Nicole Is "A Joke"

“The whole relationship is really a joke,” the user continued. “He plans on going over and marrying Nicole, as soon as he can he wants to just divorce her and then bring in his girlfriend from Morocco, bring her over to the states and marry her. Everything about it is just really shady.” What did Nicole have to say about this?

Time For Confrontation

After Nicole learned all of this information, she called Azan out for it over the phone. She'd seen messages between other women and had even listened to voice recordings of him with other women. She was furious. "Why are there recordings of your voice talking to another person online? There are recordings, it’s your voice of you talking to other women,” she told Azan. “Do you think that’s okay, you can call a girl saying ‘I want to kiss you, I miss your kiss.’ Why did you do that?”

Deny, Deny, Deny

To nobody's surprise, Azan denied all the allegations. He said those recordings were just dares that his friends made him do while they were all out drinking. To nobody's surprise again, Nicole believed him...

He Had An Explanation

Nicole argued that Azan had an explanation and that these things happened before the two met. She believed him. She argued that she always chooses to see the best in people and knows when she's being taken advantage of...

Advice From a "90 Day Fiance" Costar

In light of the cheating rumors, another "90 Day" star offered Nicole some advice. "I told Nicole to go over more than once to make sure that he was in it for the right reasons,” Danielle Jbali said. “I would have backed out because that is like a big red flag. When he and Nicole were talking about it, and he was just laughing about it like it was no big deal, that was disheartening. I felt bad for her because that’s not a laughing matter. And it’s not a joke.”

Believing Azan is Different

Despite the unwelcome advice and swirling Internet rumors, Nicole believed her relationship with Azan was different. She refuted all claims he cheated when asked by her Instagram followers. She said they'd worked through their differences and gotten past each other's mistakes. So... when's the wedding?

No Wedding Bells Yet

According to Nicole, Azan is still in Morocco and they have yet to tie the knot there or in Florida. She insists "the timing isn't right" or "they don't have enough money." TLC viewers just think these are a lot of excuses because she doesn't want to admit the wedding will never happen...

The Reunion Won't Be Filmed

Turns out, Nicole's 2020 visit to Morocco is indeed to marry Azan. Since he's been denied his visa so many times, the couple is forced to marry in Morocco. This will be the first time they've seen each other in two years...

Quitting "90 Day" In 2019

It looked suspicious at the time, but the couple quit the TLC show in September of 2019. Viewers seemed to dislike the couple, distrust both Nicole and Azan, and their lack of any real plans made their segments of the show boring. Nicole's trip to Morocco this time around won't make it to the small screen...

Nicole's Family Still Doesn't Approve

Despite the constant back and forth and the assurance that the relationship is real, Nicole's family still isn't on board. She went to Morocco to marry Azan without them. After all this time, they still don't believe the relationship is legit...

Only Time Will Tell

It's only a matter of time before the tabloids reveal whether or not the couple finally went through with their nuptials. Is Azan genuinely in love with Nicole, or is this still all a scam? If only TLC was there to confirm.
