Zoom Removes 40-Minute Time Limit for the Holidays

If you're planning to Zoom with your loved ones over the holidays, there's no need to be concerned about a time limit.

As a token of appreciation to its users, Zoom is lifting its 40-minute limit on free video calls globally throughout the holidays. Unlimited meetings will be able to take place between Wednesday, December 23 and Saturday, December 26 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 a.m., as well as Wednesday, December 30 to Saturday, Jan 2 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 a.m.

The limit will automatically be removed during the aforementioned periods.

Whether you're coming together on Christmas, celebrating the final days of Kwanzaa, or connecting with friends and family to ring in the New Year, don't worry about your time drawing to an early end.

Zoom has also ensured that your virtual get-together will be as safe and fun as possible. You can protect your session from uninvited guests by requiring a meeting passcode to join and enabling Waiting rooms. Users can even download festive virtual backgrounds and experiment with video filters.

Stay home and stay healthy!
