Californians Ordered to Stay Home During Coronavirus

Coronavirus is in full swing, and state legislators are doing everything in their power to stop the spread of the pandemic disease. This past week, nearly 40 million people living in California have been ordered to stay inside while the outbreak is happening. Residents are advised to leave only when necessary until further notice.

This is a moment we need to make tough decisions," said California Governor Gavin Newsom. "This is a moment where we need some straight talk and we need to tell people the truth: We need to bend the curve in the state of California." The order comes from Los Angeles County, the most populated county in the US.

Said Mayor Eric Garcetti during a press briefing, "We’ve already radically changed how we live in Los Angeles. We need to be painfully honest tonight that we're about to enter into a new way of living here." The order will last indefinitely, but officials are saying at the minimum, it will last until April 19th.
