Haunted House Requires 40-Page Waiver, Insurance, and Drug Test To Enter

Russ McKamey is a known name in the haunted house industry. He’s notorious for his over-the-top haunts that can last up to 10 hours.

He’s offered his participants thousands of dollars to finish the course, but no one ever does.

Participants must be 18, have insurance, be drug-free, and sign a waiver. Then, they must pay the simple entry fee: a bag of dog food.

It’s a “mental game” designed by McKamey himself.

The haunt takes place at McKamey’s home. He builds it up each year around Halloween fitted with events that are synonymous with torture.

Participants are covered in animal blood, pushed, drowned, humiliated, made disoriented, and videotaped the entire time.

McKamey claims he records everything for liability reasons.

On the website’s FAQ, it reads:

You must be in EXCELLENT HEALTH to participate in the EXTREME tour. You will incur VERY physically and mentally demanding environments. Make sure to follow the rules. YOU MUST READ the WARNING page and sign the WAIVER FORM before you enter the haunt. DO NOT ATTEND if you have medical conditions that might cause you an injury… DO NOT enter our haunt if you are prone to seizures or if you have ANY kind of respiratory conditions, especially asthma, or heart conditions. Do not enter if you have broken bones, casts or are pregnant.

This place has created a lot of pushback since it’s extremely violent and real. Neighbors believe that McKamey is torturing the individuals inside the haunt and that it’s unlawful.

Everyone goes in on their own free will and are allowed to leave when they’ve had enough… But, only when McKamey thinks you’ve reached your breaking point.

Once again, no one has ever completed the course because of how difficult it is to stay sane while literally being tortured.

Hey, at least he’s getting dog food donations for the local shelters!
