If you’ve ever wanted a Ghostbusters film set in present day, then you’ve got it. This isn’t like the all-woman reboot, but actually a continuation of what happened in the 80s. This new film will be directed by Jason Reitman, the son of the original director, Ivan Reitman. “I’ve always thought of myself as the first Ghostbusters fan, when I was a 6-year-old visiting the set. I wanted to make a movie for all the other fans,” Reitman told Entertainment Weekly. “This is the next chapter in the original franchise. It is not a reboot. What happened in the ’80s happened in the ’80s, and this is set in the present day.” This will be the next ‘chapter’ in the franchise. If anything, this quick and eerie trailer gives us a bit of an insight in what’s to come… Looks like we’ve got a great budget on our hands, so get ready for the awesome, spooky special effects. More ghouls and ghosts running rampant in New York City? Yes, please!
