Move over "cone of shame," we've evolved past the necessity for you.
If you've ever got a pet spayed or neutered, you probably know about the Elizabethan collar (aka. the cone of shame). This stiff, uncomfortable, and sometimes dangerous plastic outfit is typically used to prevent pets from gnawing, licking, or scratching their stitches from various surgeries.
Although the cone of shame is effective in preventing your pets from busting open their stitches, it makes life significantly more difficult for them.
The cone of shame prevents pets from eating, drinking, sleeping, or playing comfortably. Sometimes you need to keep the cone on for two weeks to a month, which is much more time than any human would go willingly wearing a cone on tier head.
So, instead of outfitting your furry friend with an ugly plastic cone, putting them in a cotton onesie is the better option.
Search for onesies to buy based on your pet's weight. Since onesies can range between infant, toddler, and even child-sized, it's pretty easy to find a onesie that fits your pet perfectly. The onesie will cover the stitches comfortably, and your pet will not be able to hinder their own healing process. On top of that, they will be able to eat, drink, sleep, and play just like normal. That, and you'll be able to snap a bunch of cute photos of them wearing baby clothes.
If you don't have enough cash for a brand new onesie, you can fold an old t-shirt to fit like a onesie would.
