This Small Town in Colorado Just Elected a Dog as Their Mayor

The small population of Georgetown, Colorado was rocked to its core when a new, progressive political figure hit the scene. His name is Parker the Snowdog.

Dressed like a noble American, Parker the Snow Dog was sworn in as the mayor of Georgetown on Tuesday morning.  After a record-breaking turnout to the polls, Parker won the seat based on his progressive policies.

He believes in hugs (first and foremost), love, and cookies for all the people of Georgetown.

His inauguration ceremony consisted of a line of 300 people to scratch his head, lots of treats, and some harsh standpoints on political reform in the surrounding area. Namely, the eradication of corporate entities to make way for more local businesses, and a road repair program that was slightly controversial when he presented it but over time the council warmed up to it.

Although Parker has no political past,  but his firm stance on community involvement was inspiring for those who were on the fence about voting for something that isn't a human.

Outside of politics, Parker works as a social media influencer. He is the official mascot of the Loveland Ski Area, he volunteers as a dog therapist at a summer camp for disabled children, and he is featured in virtually every Denver Broncos game on live television.

It is a hard question as to why and how this boy got so suddenly popular. His opponents have credited his television personality to be one of the deciding factors, but at the end of the day, it's just nice to be able to ignore whats going on in the political sphere sometimes.
