Hanks continued, with Wilson in the frame. "There are those for whom it could lead to a very serious illness. We are taking it one-day-at-a-time," said the actor. "There are things we can all do to get through this by following the advice of experts and taking care of ourselves and each other, no?" The couple stated that they experienced all the symptoms prior to diagnoses, such as fatigue, body pains, chills, and fevers.

Tom Hanks was in Australia while filming for a new biopic about Elvis Presley. Starring opposite Austin Butler as the King of Rock n' Roll, Hanks was set to play Presley's manager, Colonel Tom Parker. When asked about being one of 120 confirmed cases, Hanks wrote: "Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?"
