Universal Pictures Drops Movies On Demand For Coronavirus Quarantine

The coronavirus is in full swing, and many public spaces such as concert venues, busy restaurants, and popular stores have closed down to reduce the spread. Among these institutions are movie theaters. Due to this closing, many theaters and production companies have had to make some adjustments to how their movies are seen.

For the time being, movies from NBC Universal Pictures were announced to be released via home entertainment platforms. Though Trolls World Tour was meant to be released in theaters on April 17th, it can now be watched in-home and on-demand starting April 10th. Other movies soon available include Emma, The Hunt, and The Invisible Man

"We hope and believe that people will still go to the movies in theaters where available," said Jeff Shell, the NBC Universal CEO, "but we understand that for people in different areas of the world that is increasingly becoming less possible." Until the coronavirus is over, put your feet up and enjoy the newest movies right from your couch!
