With Aquariums Closed, These Penguins Got to Do Some Exploring

With all the craziness going on right now, people could use all the cute animal photos and videos the world has to offer.

Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, Illinois, has closed its door to the public and opened up the doors to the penguin exhibit.

Animal caretakers at the Aquarium took some of the rockhopper penguins in their care on a little field trip around the facility, and more importantly, they filmed it all to share with everyone.

A series of clips were shared as the penguins explored the public areas of the facility and were quite entertained with everything they encountered.

While times are strange for humans, for animals at the aquarium, nothing has changed. With the aquarium closed to the public, the animal caretakers decided to get creative in order to provide enriching experiences for the animals. The videos that resulted are awwwwwesome.

Shedd Aquarium's Twitter account is now the perfect place to go when you're feeling a little down int he dumps in quarantine.

"Our caregivers are constantly providing new experiences for the animals to explore and express their natural behaviors with [so] let us know what penguin activities you would like to see!"
